Our inner gardens need fertilizer just as nature fertilizes itself. I don't think anyone is completely without regret for a choice gone wrong or a mistake we have made. Maybe we bought something that no longer serves us and it is time to clean out the closet. Maybe we said something we regret. Hold onto it, or let it go? Forgive or not to forgive? The leaves that fall lose their shape and become compost. The compost serves the well-being of the tree.

As trees let go of their leaves, we can also try to release our grasp on what no longer serves us. It is better to let go of the past and become the best of who we are today. It is important to comfort ourselves during times of change and to give ourselves credit for the work we have done. Recognize the little achievements along the way. Practicing positive affirmations and looking for ways to uplift ourselves can help.
