It is such an amazing process with how insects, caterpillars, and amphibians transform. The change is so profound and yet so natural. Metamorphosis is a complete change that can encompass biology, pathology, botany, structures, substances, forms, appearances, circumstances, and character.
When I reflect on transformation and change, I think of Maslow's Hierarchy of needs. I think of a continual climbing of a ladder of enlightenment throughout one's life. A journey of psychospiritual growth toward self-transcendence, the highest, holistic level of human consciousness.
I learned so much from my Grandmother when I was growing up. She came here from Italy in the early 1900's.
