Piano Goddess. Digital Mixed Media Art. A tribute to my daughter. Her father was a musician who played acoustic guitar and bass guitar by ear. He never learned to read music and played in a few local bands. He had this little keyboard, and my daughter was playing with it one day while I was getting ready for work. She was playing Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I asked her who taught her how to play the song and she said, no one, Mommy, I learned to do it myself. She was 7 years old. Her father and I put her into music school right away so she could learn how to read music, and that she did. For many years she enjoyed playing. She was playing Moonlight Sonata from memory in 6th grade. She also composed some music. When she was in High School, she joined the band. Her teacher was thrilled as he said he never could find a pianist who could play jazz on the piano with the band. She was even teaching for a while and was invited to play at the Big Sister's 40th Anniversary Gala at Salve Regina...
Laurie Cairone has created art intuitively for more than 40 years. The artwork Laurie creates is inspired and influenced by her interests in the Universe, art for her own Health and Healing purposes, the Metaphysical world, and the integration for Mind, Body, and Soul connections. Laurie is a retired Registered Nurse who experienced a 32-year career in many health care specialties. Her journey as a nurse ended from an injury. She currently holds a Second-Degree Reiki Certification. Laurie believes that keeping our minds healthy with positive thoughts is essential to good health.
